Become a Scout Leader
Educational work at Plast is your contribution to the development of conscious Ukrainian youth through your own example and experience.
You can become a leader at any age!
Mentors
From the first steps of Plast for children aged 6 or 11, leaders become the ones who start their Plast journey, introduce them to the idea and principles of the organization, and help them step by step through the trial program (the gradual system of acquiring knowledge in Plast).
Example
Over time, as children grow older and begin to implement their own projects, take responsibility for trips and activities, and collaborate with others, they take the example of their educators and try to emulate them in their achievements.
Friends
All Scouts are friends with each other, but the most valuable thing for each of us is to have a friend, a teacher. When your friendship is strengthened by years of experience and adventure, it becomes even stronger.
Support
Over time, the leaders' students become tutors themselves, or choose another area in Plast, can hold leadership positions, or start their own business. It is then that the tutor's support remains an important support for life.
WHO ARE THE LEADERS?
And who will I work with?
The educational groups (age categories) in Plast are:

Ptashata (2-6 years old), who join the steps (Plast classes) with their parents and are just starting to get acquainted with Plast in a game format;

Novatstvo (7-10 years old) are already learning to be independent and attend classes without their parents. Experienced educators (brothers and sisters) and slightly less experienced (who want to test themselves) – stepbrothers and stepsisters work with them;

Unatstvo (11-17 years old), who immerse themselves in the magic of camping in tent camps, learn to create their own projects and actions, and take on various roles. Youth is about growth, development, and enormous opportunities! But all this is possible only thanks to a good educator who has received the necessary knowledge.

The online course “Plast — Ukrainian Scouting. Discover your superpower” is your first step on the path to Plast in adulthood.
In order to start educational work, you must complete and provide us with a certificate of completion of this online course.
What kind of course?
“Plast — Ukrainian Scouting. Discover Your Superpower” is a free educational course on the VUM online platform. Developed by experienced scouts for those who want to join us and develop Ukraine.
This online course is introductory, so you will learn:

basic information about Plast, our values, and our idea;

how to find “your own” people in the Plast community;

how to become an educator and why it could potentially be one of the best decisions of your life.
You will be able to study at a pace that is comfortable for you.
What next?
1. After the course, you will be invited to an offline training, where you will immerse yourself in the inner workings of Plast.
2. When you are ready, you will write an application to officially become a Scout.
3. Next, you can take training for educators if you want to participate in the development of the new generation.
